Imogen Nokes is a mixed media artist who base her artworks off the Oxfordshire landscape. Her practice consists of both contemporary and traditional techniques that include photography, squeegeeing an image through a screen, painting with a kaleidoscope of acrylic colours and spray painting. Through collage, painting and screen-printing Imogen explores shape, form and colour to produce abstract designs. Imogen’s main source of inspiration is nature and colour, she loves experimenting with different palettes and strongly believes that colour plays a very important role in our lives. Imogen has an eye for composition and discerning and arranging colour, and she uses this to interpret and reflect her surroundings.

“Every mark I make is a reaction to the natural dialogue that is appearing before me. I like to work with the colours I can see as well as the ones that have been stimulated by my other senses.”

You can also find Imogen on SOTA Marketplace and on Etsy where her paintings and prints are available to buy.
